Thank you for your interest in Desert Forest, located in Yucca Valley, CA. If you have a confirmed reservation, here are a few pointers: Plan for the season. Yucca Valley is about 10 degrees cooler than Palm Springs. It is considered the Hi-Desert, so you may get mountain type weather and sometimes even snow in the winter. This area can also get windy, so a nice wind breaker is often handy. Bring comfortable closed toe shoes.
When exploring the property or taking a walk, you will want to make sure your feet are protect from bugs, snakes or prickly cactus plants. Bring fire wood. Enjoying a roaring fire on a beautiful, starry night is an amazing experience. Prepare snacks and drinks, if going to the National Park. And fill your gas tank before venturing out.
You will receive a code to enter the home a few days before your arrival. You will use this code on the back door near the jacuzzi. Inside you will find keys on the key tree for the front door and kitchen door. The kitchen door is closest to the carport. For longer stays please note that the trash is picked up on Thursdays, across the street from the driveway. You can leave it out on Thursday night. Please refer to the instructional videos for how to operate the jacuzzi, tv, a/c and heat.
